It’s so important to invest your money in clothes that you can wear again after you have given birth to make sure you get the most out of them and so you aren’t just buying clothes that fit you once and then never again!
This blog post will look at some of the different styles of clothes that you could get away with wearing both when you are pregnant and postpartum.

Getting Gym Ready in January
Hey Dolls,
Hope you are all settling into the new year okay and not suffering too badly from the January blues! One way to get yourself out of a new year rut and give yourself a boost is to start a form of exercise that you enjoy. Whether that means going for a walk in the evening or signing up to a month at the gym, it is well known that people love a good health kick at this time of year!
Some people take to exercise easily and it becomes second nature, others need some motivation.
A new set of gym gear can be that little burst of motivation you need to want to workout. Knowing that you have a new pair of gym leggings to try, new runners to break in or a new sports bra can give you the push you need!

How I stay on top of my mental health
Hey Dolls,
You all know my story by now that I struggle with my mental health. So, this year my aim is to stay on top of my mental health by keeping check of it and doing everything I can to avoid stressful situations. That isn't always possible of course but over the last few years of therapy, I've learned how to cope better and manage all kinds of situations that would have caused me horrendous anxiety in the past.
I know a lot of people say I don't seem the type of person that would suffer from anxiety but it can happen to anyone, from all strokes of life at any time in their life. Sometimes it's the result of a traumatic experience or something from their past that is triggered in their present life. For me, I've always been this way and it's only since I've gotten older and fully started to understand what was happening that I realised I need to constantly check in and make sure I am minding myself.
Years went by where I constantly felt on edge, I was worried about the smallest things and eventually, it took its toll on me and I began to feel severely depressed. I had to leave my life in Australia and come home to get some help and finally get some answers. It didn't happen overnight, medication helped but I didn't find the right therapist until a few years later. It was only after I started going to my current therapist that I started to notice significant differences in the way I was feeling and thinking.
The hardest part about getting help is admitting to yourself that you need it. I think because there is such a big stigma around mental health people are still so scared and embarrassed to admit they aren't doing ok and need help. For me, admitting and accepting I needed help was the best thing and I felt like a huge weight was lifted. I wasn't hiding anymore and I could finally be completely honest with the people close to me. No one judged or questioned me they just showed me so much support and love.
These days I do small things each day to try to maintain a healthy state of mind. It's not always easy, I struggle and I still have very down days but I know it's just a day, or a thought or a moment and I know I'll come out the other side. You have to ride the wave and go with the feeling sometimes. I think if you try to force it away and ignore it, it will just grow bigger and get worse. Now, instead of hiding or avoiding my feelings I sit with them, speak to someone close to me and try to get to the bottom of why I am feeling that way.
Something that helps me stay focused and well is being present. Most of the time we are lost in thought, either living in the past or thinking about the future. We live in such a fast-paced world we get caught up in it and don't live in the present moment. This has a massive effect on me and the way I'm feeling, it's overwhelming and leaves me feeling exhausted. By practising mindfulness it brings me back to the present and lets me live in the current situation. It isn't something I've mastered 100% and I think I will always struggle to be present but by practising mindfulness each day I get better and feel like I've a better grasp on things. The minute I go into my head and let my mind take control instead of controlling it is when I start to overthink and panic.
I hope this was helpful and you took something from this post. When it comes to mental health it can be a bit of a mind field and it's so complicated. Try to remember we all have our own experiences and struggles and we are all on our own individual journeys.
If you are struggling the best advice I have, is to speak to someone and start your journey to a happy, healthy mental health. For me, its just as important as physical health and I have to have a healthy mind if I want to look after the ones around me.

My New Years Resolutions
Hey Dolls,
Looking back on 2018 and the New Year’s resolutions I made in 2017 I feel like I've continued to work on them and work towards the goals I set for myself. I hate the saying New Year, New Me, it never sits well with me because we never fully change, we can work on ourselves and better ourselves but we can't change ourselves completely.
This year I focused on looking after myself, distancing myself from negativity, whether that was in my life or the way I was thinking and I tried to use my platform and voice as best as I could to help and inspire others.
Looking forward into 2019 I know it's going to be a year of change, we will become parents to two and I can only imagine how much harder it's going to get but how much more rewarding it's going to be. We are so excited!!!!
I am not going to set myself a mad list of new year’s resolutions because I know it’s not possible to stick to everything. The above two are the biggest and most important things I want to focus on in 2019. Obviously, I want to be as healthy as possible for myself and my growing baby so I will get back to eating well and working out once the new year rings in.
If you haven't had a chance to think about your new year’s resolutions maybe take five, grab a coffee and a notepad and jot down what you'd like to focus on and what's important to you.

My New Years Resolutions
- Mind my Mind - I want to really look after myself and my mental health this year. I'm going to have two young babies who need me to be as strong as possible so I'm making my mental health a priority this year. I will continue to go to therapy, practice what I already know and keep my anxiety under control. I’m going to regularly do small things that will have a positive impact on my mind and that will help to keep me grounded and present. The biggest thing for me is losing myself in my thoughts and letting them take over. Small things I like to do to help is to check in with myself each day, ask myself how I'm doing and if I'm not feeling great I'll take a few minutes to figure out what I can do to change that and help myself ie. taking a walk, eating something, practicing some mindfulness, listen to some music (The Greatest Showman is the best thing to lift my mood) These small rituals I do every day massively impact my mood, how I am around others and how I deal with certain situations.
- Less Time Online - Fear not, I won't be dropping off the face of social media but I will be managing my time spent online better. As this is my job and I love to share so much, sometimes it can be overwhelming, it can delay me doing things and I can get lost in the online world. I want to set myself deadlines, get my work done and put the phone down so I can be present with my family and friends. Over the last few months, I’ve been integrating it into my daily life and I feel so much better for doing so. You might have noticed I share less but I try to make the content I am putting out better. I will have a camera in my hand more than my phone these days and I love how it evokes my creative side and gets me excited about the content I am creating. I do believe that less is more when the quality is better so in 2019 I am going to focus on only putting the best out there, being more organised with my time and managing it better. I never really have structure and I think that’s what I need more of in 2019.
If you haven't had a chance to think about your new year’s resolutions maybe take five, grab a coffee and a notepad and jot down what you'd like to focus on and what's important to you.
I hope you all had a fabulous New Years whatever you got up to and I hope 2019 brings you lots of love, laughter and fun times.
Love Grace xoxo
