Slimming World Week 10 - Do You Really Want To Eat That Easter Egg???

Hey dolls,

Can I just say thanks again for all the lovely comments that have come my way since my last post. I'm so glad my journey is inspiring you. You might want to turn away now though!

Week 10 and I gained half a pound! haha

I know it's not massive and I was practically on two weeks holidays so I am glad is wasn't a bigger gain.

Anyway, today is the start of Week 11 and I'm back on track. No excuses and no holidays planned, for a few months anyway haha. So as Easter approaches I wanted to give you all the heads up when it comes to how many Syns are actually in the eggs.

These are not the free type of eggs we at SW are used to, so beware! They have a massive amount of Syns.

It's holidays like these where we need to be on our toes and be well equipped so we don't fail and undo all the good that we have done so far.

Believe me I was as shocked when I saw the Syn value in some of these.

Let me start with my favourite chocolate. The Lindt Bunny! Without fail I get one of these for Easter and Christmas and for all other occasions when Lindt decides to make a glorious chocolate mould of any animal! But I will be rethinking my chocolate choices after today.

Take a look

56 Syns is almost 4 days worth of Syns! Is it really worth it? I have asked my mam not to buy me any Easter eggs this year, that way I don't even have the option of having any. I told her to pick me up the mini bunnies if she can, that way I know I am only having 3 syns per bunny :)

I don't want to turn you off chocolate but I just want to make you all aware of how much sugar and fat is in these eggs! I couldn't believe it so had to share it with you all too.

Have some chocolate this Easter, just don't eat 5 eggs to yourself haha. Have a great week what ever you're doing and I'll catch you same time next week with a new update!

Slimming World Week 9 - 26lb down

Hi my loves,

Firstly let me say I am soooo happy that my journey and weight loss has inspired some of you to do the same. You have no idea how amazing it is getting comments, tweets and emails telling me I am the reason that some of you have joined Slimming world or began your own personal journey to weight loss. It makes it all worth while knowing I am helping others to achieve their goals. It's what pushes me to do better myself knowing that I have all of you behind me pushing me on.

So a quick update - As some of you may know, if you follow me on my social media, I was in Malaga last week on a hen party. I was not very positive last Tuesday as I queued up to weigh in but I said to myself "Feck it Grace, you were on your holidays and you enjoyed the last couple of days away!" I would have been ok with a gain as I had consumed a lot of alcohol and really enjoyed the food I ate, but I also made healthy choices when ordering and drank a lot of water in between drinks. I was so shocked when my consultant told me I was down 3.5lb. I literally couldn't believe it and to top it off I won Slimmer of the Week for a second time :)

Here are some of the awards I have received over the last 9 weeks and my lovely bag of fruit for winning Slimmer of the Week

I was sooo thrilled and proud of my achievements. I just wanted to get home so I could post a picture and share it with my amazing followers  because I knew that picture would help some people who needed a bit of motivation.

Sometimes I even question how I am losing weight so fast but then I know I'm making better choices and it's reflected on the scales. You can't eat 10 packets of crisps and 10 chocolate bars a week and expect to have a loss! It just won't happen. I have my treat when I really want it and when I know I have been good and deserve it but other that that I stick to the plan. I don't ever eat Syns for the sake of it, I save them for occasions when I know I will need them.

Here is a little progress picture and I am so happy with the changes in my body.

Week 1                      Week 9

For my 10th week in Slimming World I will do a Q&A post. For those of you who want to ask me anything, feel free to tweet me, comment on my Instagram or email me. I will leave all my social media links below.

To those of you reading this, you are reading it for a reason! You either are on your own journey to a healthier you or you want to start! I always say why not start today! What are you waiting for?

Thank you to everyone for their continued support! You have no idea how much it is helping and motivating me to keep going. It's not the easiest of things to do but believe me it is the most rewarding. I haven't felt this confident and comfortable in my own skin in years!

Thanks for taking the time to read my posts! I love you all.

Yonka - Hydralessence Visage Facial Review | Tiger Lily Beauty Salon

Hey ladies,

I was invited to Tiger Lily Beauty Salon yesterday for a Yonka facial and OMG it was seriously the most luxurious treatment I have ever had.

I was so impressed with the Salon, it was so spacious, bright and very welcoming. They sell a wide variety of beauty products and offer a vast amount of treatments from nails, waxing, massage and eye brow embroidery. You can check out their website here or follow them on FaceBook
The beauty salon is located in Rathcoole and you can call them on  (01) 401 3634 to make an appointment.

The treatment I received was a Hydralessence visage facial, which to you and me is a long-lasting, deep hydrating facial. It was exactly what my skin needed after the cold winter months. It is the perfect treatment to prep and plump the skin for the spring. The treatment lasted for 75 minutes and I kid you not it was the most relaxing experience I have had in a long time :)

Getting into the facial itself, the hydralessence visage is a high performance facial that revives the dullest of complexions. The Yonka products used during the facial are rich in essential oils and packed with fruit extract and green tea. The perfect antioxidant combination. Everything from the strong aromas of the creams and elixirs to the exfoliating properties of the Gommage 305 peel were perfect. Each product Niamh applied made me love the facial even more. My favourite part of the 75 minutes was when Niamh applied the second face mask, the Masque Modelant. As soon as she started to mix the mask I could smell the amazing fruit extract. It felt cooling on the skin and so refreshing, especially when she applied it to my eyes. It was so soothing to my tired eyes. Here is a scary picture of me with the face mask on haha.

Look at my décolletage though! It is glowing after my double massage :)

I have to say I was so impressed with the treatment I received and last night when I was doing my own night time beauty routine my skin felt amazing, so dewy and plump :) I am so excited to book in for my next facial with Tiger Lily. I am going to make it my business to really look after my skin this year.

Here is a look at the amazing products that were used in my facial.

I also had my gel nails refilled by the owner Niamh and I am so happy with the way they turned out. She used a new product that changes colour with the temperature. When my hands are cold they are a gorgeous deep purple but when my hands heat up they go a fab vibrant pink.

A massive thumbs up for me for Tiger Lily Beauty Salon. Such amazing service in a relaxed and friendly environment.

Check them out girls.

My Food Diary - Slimming World Week 7

Hey lovelies,

Since I started posting about my Slimming World journey I have been asked to share my meal plan with you. Today I want to give you a quick update on my weight loss and let you in on what I have been eating and how I am finding this new healthier me.

In the last 7 weeks I have lost 1 stone and a half, 21.5lbs down. I am over the moon and never thought I would have lost that much weight in such a short amount of time. This diet is really working for me and I know that I will keep it up and maintain it in the future. I am down to a size 10 now, clothes are fitting and are even too big now. It is such a confidence booster and I feel like a completely different person. If you want to change the way you feel about your body I urge you to start today and become that version you have always wanted to be. I got weighed in today and received my stone and a half reward. I was so thrilled.

Now on to what I have been eating. I think the best way to keep yourself in the game and to stop yourself from falling off the wagon is to vary your meals and keep all your meals exciting. It is hard at the beginning to think of new things to eat everyday but there are hundreds of options. Here are a few meal options

Breakfast -
Berries with fat free natural yogurt.
Weetabix(HEB) with berries, banana & slimline milk
Lean bacon medallions & eggs, slims bagel
Syn free pancakes & berries

Lunch -
Pasta salad with eggs and meat
Slims bagel with meat, hard boiled egg, turkey or chicken
Scrambled eggs with smoked salmon.
Fruit salad

Snack -
Muller light yogurt
Fruit
Carrot sticks
Brogues crackers & cottage cheese

Dinner
Chicken filet, veg and potatoes.
Spaghetti Bolognese with fresh veg
Lasagne with salad
Chill beef with veg

I love trying new things and mixing up my meals to keep me interested. The key to weigh loss is a healthy diet. You can have small treats but not to often and not a lot. Keep your plate packed with lots of lovely colours and eat lots of speed food to help aid in your weight loss.

I will report back next week with some progress pics and my fitness routine that I will be kick starting next week :)

If you have any questions let me know in a comment below
