What 2015 Has Taught Me.....

Hey dolls,

As 2015 comes to an end I wanted to share a little inspirational post. This year I feel like I've learned so much about myself and I've grown so much.

At the start of the year I set myself some goals, I wanted to lose weight, buy my dream car, move in with Chris, land my dream job, grow my following, build my brand. Sitting here writing this post I'm still so shocked at how much I've achieved. Sometimes it feels like a dream but I know myself how hard I've worked and how it's all finally paying off.

I just wanted to share some of the highlights of 2015 and let you all know that 2016 is going to be even bigger!!!!
My first magazine feature in the Sunday World Mag alongside the gorgeous Joanne Larby sharing our weight loss story.
Bought my dream car :)
My first TV appearance with Xpose
Really opening up about my struggle with my mental health, sharing my experience with anxiety & depression.
My first ever radio interview with DJ Ruth Scott from 2FM for mental health awareness week on Walk In My Shoes Radio. Listen to it here
My second radio interview! This was one of those 'pinch me moments' getting a call from the lovely producer of the Nicky Byrne and Jenny Greene show inviting me to come into the studio to have a chat with them about my blog. Listen to my interview here
We took that next step and moved in together. Best decision ever!!!!
Another one of those pinch me moments, being asked to speak on a panel in GMIT about my journey with my mental health. Getting to speak with Bressie was amazing. Watch the seminar here
I was nominated alongside Irelands biggest bloggers for the best blog in the Stellar magazine shine awards. I didn't win but was honoured to be nominated with some of the best. Well done to Pippa :)
My second Sunday World feature with these two dolls Love Lauren & Rosie Connolly this was such a fun shoot.

I've met some amazing, inspirational people this year that have helped me in more ways than they know. I've made some amazing, life long friends and I'm so thankful to everyone that has made such an amazing impact on my life. Here are just some of those wonderful people.

I am sooooo excited for 2016 and what amazing adventures and opportunities it is going to bring. I hope you found this post helpful, I love looking back on the year and being grateful for everything that has happen.

I hope 2015 was as good to you as it was to me

Winter In New York...

Hey dolls,

I hope you are all keeping well and excited for Christmas. I wanted to share this post with you all because it sums up the beauty of Christmas time for me. There is nothing I love more than wandering around looking at how beautiful everywhere is decorated. Sometimes we get to caught up in buying the presents that we forget the real meaning of Christmas, family and spending time with the ones we love. This trip to New York really made me see that this year.

This oversized blanket coat from Aeropostale has to be my favourite purchases from NYC. I bought it in Woodbury Common during the Black Friday sales. It is so snug and warm and I'm obsessed with the hood.... it's huge :)

My personalised cashmere scarf is from Custom Vintage Dublin
Jeans are from Newlook
Chelsea Boots & Gloves are from Penny's
Bag is DKNY

A massive thanks to Lorna from Lcscloset.com for taking my snaps and being an amazing tour guide.
I hope you all have an amazing Christmas and I love you all soooo much.

I Got Clear Braces....

Hey dolls,

If you've been following me on snapchat this week you'll know I got my Invisalign with  ClearBraces.ie I'm still getting used to them and I'm so excited for my teeth to be straight.  I've wanted to get braces for a couple of years now and after seeing the amazing transformation Christopher has had with his teeth I knew they were the ones I wanted to go for.

My issue with my teeth is mostly that my bottom teeth have moved and started to turn in as a result of my wisdom teeth coming up and putting pressure on my bottom teeth. I have been going to Chatham Street Dentist for the last couple of months and when I brought up my concerns with my teeth they highly recommend I go for clear braces. As I work a lot on camera I was always so self conscious of my bottom teeth. After I had my consultation with Dr Kevin Murphy in Chatham Street Dental he recommended I go for Invisalign.

I had my impressions taken and 6 weeks on I'm one week into my journey to straight teeth. The process has been so quick and pain free, everyone has said they didn't even realise I was wearing braces. That is the beauty of clear braces, they are practically invisible :) I've to wear them for 22 hours a day and I take them out to eat and to clean my teeth.

I feel like I have adapted to them so well because before starting with them I whitened my teeth and had to wear the  whitening kit over night. I got used to sleeping with them in and now it feels so normal to fall asleep with my braces in.

The first couple of days I had some slight discomfort and had some mouth ulcers flare up but my dentist & Chris assured me that it was normal and now my mouth feels normal now. My voice is also a little different but hopefully I will get used to them and it will go back to normal soon. I know it is still early days but I am so excited to see my teeth transform.

Here are some pictures of how my teeth are now and I will do an update in a couple of months.

This is one of me wearing them, I love that you can't even tell.

Sorry for the up close look in my mouth haha.
If you have any questions in the mean time just leave a comment below & I will get back to you.

My Inglot Christmas Gift Guide

Hey dolls,

There is only 9 days to Christmas, OMG ahhhh I am so excited!!!! I wanted to share with you some of the amazing offers Inglot have at the moment and also my own personal Christmas Wishlist.

I am not sure if it's my OCD but when it comes to makeup and my beauty products I have to have them organised, especially if it's my makeup kit. Inglot has a huge range of makeup cases, all shapes and sizes! The prices range from €50 for the small carry cases to €400 for the big wheelie cases. Personally I love the wheelie cases with the separate compartments so I can store all my makeup in their own sections. I've asked Santa for one for myself :) Hopefully he has been listening! Check out the massive range of cases HERE

I am also a huge fan of makeup brush tubes! They are great for travel, storing brushes and for holding them when you are doing a make overs. They have a hard casing which means your brushes never get damaging when travelling. Inglot has an amazing offer at the moment, 5 of their best selling brushes and a makeup tube for just €140. You can buy them HERE If you are looking at building your brush collection we have an amazing 14 piece brush set that will have you covered. Check it out HERE

Winter Chic

Hey Dolls,

I wanted to share this outfit post with you all because I'm so obsessed with these trousers I bought in Penny's this week.

They were only €12 and come in lots of different patterns, I picked up a couple of pairs. I felt in love with them when I tried them on, they are a real stretchy material and so comfy on. I am always a bit unsure of what size I am in trousers as I have a very curvy bottom half. I find it hard to get jeans to fit comfortably but these fit like a glove and feel so nice. They are perfect for dressing any outfit up or even wearing them with a nice skirt in the office. These are the perfect piece for you Christmas wardrobe. Check out Penny's before they are gone.

Happy shopping
