Urban Decay Vice Palette - Review

Hi my lovelies,

A highly requested swatch review coming your way.

I received this beautiful palette as a Christmas present and the colours blew me away.

I knew when I first opened it I had to swatch it for you all. I know even before I try it I will be obsessed with it for the coming months.

So here it is and how gorgeous does it look.

My first impression of this palette was that it looked amazing but also the package it came in was super cute and also the palette itself was very sturdy. It also came with a huge mirror and a double sided makeup brush. I love that Urban Decay always have these brushes with their palettes as they are always top quality.

This palette comes with comes with a whopping 20 beautiful shades ranging from matte to shimmer to glitter. Each shadow is unique to the next and all brand new shades to Urban Decay.

The first 4 shades in this palette are on the neutral end of the scales. The first shade ''Truth'' is a beautiful matte cream colour that would be perfect as a brow bone highlight or for a wash of colour all over the lid.

The next shade ''Undone'' is a gorgeous neutral with an undertone of glitter. This colour would be perfect for all over the lid to open up the eyes.

''Downfall'' is a mid toned brown, perfect as a transition colour and for contouring the crease of the eye.

"DFT" is a deeper brown with a lot more glitter and would be gorgeous blended into the crease to darken it up.

Moving away from neutral we have ''Dragon'' which is a beautiful forest green perfect for any St. Patricks day look.

"Freeze" is a gorgeous shimmery aqua colour with lots of fine glitter.

''Heroine'' is one of my favourite shades in this palette and is a beautiful navy shade.

The final of these four is "Brokedown" It is a stunning bronzed colour and I think this would be beautiful washed all over the lid and blended out.

Next is "Vanity" a beautiful plum shade perfect for a deep gothic look that I love so much.

"Lucky is a gorgeous goldeny orange colour and one that I have never seen before. I am excited to try this one.

"Reign" is a chocolate brown that looks almost like silk and would be gorgeous deep in the over V of the eye.

"Bobby Dazzle" is a frosty white with glitter and I think it would be perfect in the inner tear duct to make your eyes pop.

These next four I think are my favourite shade of the palette.

Although I am not a huge pink fan I think "Alien" would be pretty on the lid.

"Alchemy" is an absolutely stunning burgundy shade. It looks so rich and would create a beautiful autumnal look.

"Bondage" is again a plum colour but is deeper and richer.

"Sonic" is a stunning terracotta colour and I cant wait to try it.

The last 4 shade are more cool toned and ''Last Sin" is a gorgeous champagne shade.

''Angel'' is a beautiful rich taupe shade that would be fab all over the lid and darkened up with "Defy" which is a deep dark brown.

The last shade ''Revolver" is this stunning greeny brown shade and would be beautiful on someone with green eyes.

I have to say I am in love with this palette and Urban Decay seem to get better and better with every eyeshadow palette they come out with.

I am a huge fan of this vice palette and would recommend you pick it up for yourself if you are a makeup lover like me

My Top Beauty Products Of 2014

Hi lovelies,

I hope you all had a wonderful Christmas and are looking forward to the new year. As you may have already read I posted my favourite makeup products a couple of days ago and that seemed to go down well with you all so I thought I would post my favourite beauty products of the year too.

Read my favourite makeup products of 2014 here

Starting of with this years top tan and best selling tan is Ireland is Cocoa Brown. I am a huge fan of this tan and have tried most of the range it has to offer. I love the spray tan, as do many of my clients. It give a gorgeous brown that lasts almost a week long.

Next is my must have cleanser. This bad boy was a new release this year and took the beauty world by storm. It is technically a dupe for the bioderma but works just as well. This takes off all traces of makeup and eye makeup and is so affordable and widely available.

OMG I cant say enough about this moisturiser. It was a present and I fell in love as soon as I used it. It smells divine and leaves my skin baby soft. I just ran out of it this week and it is killing me not having it. I need to place an order with Kinvara ASPA.

If you haven't tried this brand yet I urge you to do so soon

I recently blogged about this facial oil here and I am in love with it. It leaves my skin so unbelievably soft and the smell of it is unreal. If you want a full review just click the link above to read.

This product is also new to the market this year and is perfect for anyone that want to moisturise their body on the go. The spray application and fast drying of this lotion makes it perfect for that last minute moisturising. I also think this product is perfect for holidays as while you apply it it is very cold on the skin and perfect to soothe any sunburn.

I have been using this scrub from St Ives for the past 3 years now and loving it. It is a gentle enough exfoliant to use a few times weekly and cleans out and removes all dead skin leaving behind fresh, soft glowing skin.

I am loving this intense cream from La Roche-posay. I use this morning and night as a serum underneath my face cream and it firms and tones my skin. It also contains retinal which rejuvenates my skin

This night detox from Vichy is also brand new to the market and I love it as I tend to have an oily T zone. This little bottle helps to combat the production of sebum which gives that oiliness to your skin.

If it gets ride of the 12 o clock shine then I love it.

I love the fact that Youtubers are now coming out with their own lines of beauty products and I also love Zoella so had to feature her in this blog post. This is also a very hydrating body lotion that smells amazing and the packaging is super cute. WINNER

Finally a brand new product that only launched this mouth and I was kindly asked to review first is this amazing self tan corrector from No More Dramas. I have a full review on this product and If you want to read it then just click here I am such a huge fan of it and definitely think that you need to try this for the new year :)

Makes tanning so much easier.

My Best Moments Of 2014

Hi my Loves,

I hope you are all having an amazing Christmas.

I think this is an amazing exercise to do at the end of the year to reflect on all the amazing things that has happened to you throughout the year.

I wanted to share some of my favourite memories with you :) I hope you enjoy.

My favourite and best memories for the year was of course meeting my gorgeous boyfriend, Chris. I met him on New Years Eve and was the start of my fantastic year.

Here is a cute picture of us on our very first date.

Next amazing memory is my 6 week trip back to Australia with my bestie Dominique. It was all about going and having fun but it was also closure for me as I didn't really leave the last time on good terms.

My next memory was meeting my YouTuber friends TheMakeupchair and Makeupbysaz who I had talked to for years and made really good friends with.

I then got to meet a huge inspirtion of mine at the makeupfairy masterclass in Inglot.

Joanne and I got talking and found out we had more in common then we thought. We also filmed a collaboration together and become good friends.

I love that you can meet people and become friends in real life due to YouTube and Blogging.

The next proud memory of mine was running the mini marathon with my best friend for my Dad and raising a couple of hundred euro for the cancer support group.

I then had the honour of doing the wonderful Leanne Woodfull's makeup for the launch of the QOD Ireland new treatment.

She was such a pleasure to work with and very inspiring.

She has worked very hard to get to where she is and I have made another friend in Leanne.

Next memorable moment was as trip to Tunisia with my mammy. We had a rough time for a few months when I was depressed but this trip brought us back together. I was so relaxing and enjoyable.

Again some more friendships formed from youtube. I got to meet and film with these lovely ladies. Mymakeupperspective, Melanie Murphy and Nakedwithoutmylippie. What a fun day

This was HUGE for me :) I was featured in Stellar Magazine alongside Ciara O Doherty for our positive attitudes and for inspiring others with positive thinking.

I was amazing to see my name printed in such a huge magazine.

This was one of my favourite shoots of 2014 it was a bride shoot in Druigs Glen. The hotel and its surrounding were beautiful and the team just all gelled together and worked really well.

I then headed off to Cork for the Irish Beauty YouTuber meetup which was amazing. I got to meet so many amazing like minded girls and we had so much fun.

This was one of my favourite and most proud moments of the year. I was asked to speak to a school of 6th year student about the importance of mental health and depression. As I had gone through it myself just the thought of being able to speak about it and help other was amazing.

One epic moment for me was meeting the SacconeJolys. I had been a huge fan for years and was so nice to finally meet them and vlog with them.

My last favourite memory of this year was heading to Liverpool with my besties.

We had an amazing time and had so much fun. I just laughed the whole time.

I hope you enjoyed this personal post and I hope you get a chance to write down and remember all the wonderful memories you had this year :)

My Top Makeup Picks Of 2014

Hey my loves,

As 2014 is coming to an end I wanted to share with you my favourite makeup products of the last year.

Although I have way more than just ten I thought that was enough for now.

In no particular order, first up, but I must admit is probably my favourite find of this year is the Mary Lou-Manizer from The Balm. This is such an amazing powder highlight that is not overly shimmery or glittery. It is just perfection and gives you that amazing glow that everyone wants.

Next up is the Vitalumiere Aqua from Chanel. This foundation is my all time favourite foundation ( a touch on the pricier side) but worth every penny. It gives amazing coverage and lasts all day long. It leaves my skin looking flawless and I just love it so much.

Next product is the liquid eyeliner from Catrice in ''dating joe black'' I have used this eyeliner for years and still cant find anything that works better. It is a jet black liquid liner that applies so easily. I would recommend this one for beginners as it has a felt tip applicator which makes apply it effortless. Another top thing about this product is it is super affordable.

This is another product that I don't think I will ever stop buying. It is from The Balm again (they are featured a lot in the post as their stuff is awesome) This blush ''Hot Mama'' has been my go to blush for the past 6 months and is absolutely stunning. I just love how it looks on my skin and gives such a nice flushed look. I have used this almost everyday and still haven't hit pan.

Another old time favourite is the lasting perfection concealer from Collection. I have been using this concealer for years and haven't come across a better one. It is highly pigmented and covers up the darkest of under eye circles while high lighting that area too. It is also super affordable too.

I have only one mascara that I loved this past year and that is the ''Miss Manga'' from Loréal. I am in love with the length and volume this mascara gives my lashes and also love the fact that it doesn't transfer to my bottom lid.

The next two products are the ultimate in luxury products but you definitely dont need them, but I bet you would LOVE them. First up is the Soleil De Tan from Chanel. This beauty is a cream to powder universal bronzer that works with everyones individual skin tone. It feels heavenly on the skin and making contouring a dream.

The next in luxury is the Banana Powder from Ben Nye. This is Kim Kardashians best friend when it comes to highlighting and sets under eye concealer to give the ultimate pop and gorgeous glow. I just love this product for photographs.

Finishing off with some lip products the first is from NYX and that is their Butter Lip Glosses.

In any shade they are devine and they apply so nicely. They don't leave you lips feeling sticky and horrible and their colour choice is huge.

Last but by no means least is the Provocalips from Rimmel. I only tried these babies in December but they blew my mind. They are a very long wear lip gloss and when I say very long wear I mean it. Them bad boys don't budge from you lips. This are so highly pigmented and gorgeous on.

I hope you liked my picks from the year,  let me know your top products in a comment below.
